Our mandate is to improve employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in the North East.


 
The North East Supported Employment Program is an employment service offered by Newsask Community Futures Development Corporation a non profit community based organization. The program provides a variety of employment services to persons with disabilities and employers in the Newsask Community Futures Development Corporation area. The communities of Nipawin, Melfort, Tisdale, Porcupine Plain, Hudson Bay, Carrot River, Naicam, Kinistino, Cumberland House and all communities in between are served.

North East Supported Employment (NESEP) services are designed to assist persons who face barriers due to disability to obtain and maintain community based paid employment. NESEP is a cross disability program and helps individuals who self identify as having a disability.

NESEP strives to assist employers with integrating persons with disabilities into the workplace by providing on site training, disability awareness training, support and encouragement.


 
“Supported Employment is an approach to assisting individuals with disabilities to prepare for, obtain and maintain integrated community based, paid employment. A variety of support is tailored to individual requirements.
